Szilvia Varga

I am an artist living in Hungary. I consider myself a bohemian, experiental painter. My paintings are guided by the colors of my life, the eclecticism that surrounds me, the energies of the moments and the feelings they bring to the surface. I create most of my works in my studio by the Danube. The inspiration of water pervades my bird- and water-themed paintings. The human energies that affect me deeply influence my figurative images.

Nowadays, we waste too much and buy too much. With my creations, I strive to raise awareness about how important it is to use more recyclable materials in order to protect our environment and reduce the amount of waste.
My sculptures show that what initially seems like trash can, with a little creativity and determined effort, become a unique piece of art. The main materials for my creations are mostly dismantled wood and metal scraps, which are reborn as humorous sculptures.
